Two Saharawi political prisoners suffer ill treatment in jails of Ait Melloul and Inzegan

El Aaiun (occupied territories), November 23, 2014 (SPS) - Saharawi political prisoners, Abdelmoutaleb Srir and Muhammad Baber, are subjected to ill-treatment by the prison administration in Ait Melloul Inzegan jails where they had been recently transferred from the “cacel negra” (black Jail) in El Aaiun, indicated Saharawi human rights source.

 

 Abdelmoutaleb Srir has been a victim, since he arrived in Inzegan prison on November 15, to "physical and verbal abuses and was handcuffed for 48 hours, inside a dungeon along with more than 30 prisoners of public right", said the source, citing statements of his family.

 

For his part, Mohamed Baber, indicated that he "have suffered the same treatment for demanding improving conditions inside the prison and right to family visits and treatment," said his family.

 

The two Saharawi political prisoners accompanied by their fellow Alyeen Moussaoui were transferred from the infamous “Carcel Negra” in El Aaiun, November 15, to the Moroccan jail of Tiznit for Alyin Moussaoui and Ait Melloul and Inzegan for the other two, it should be recalled. (SPS)
