PM supervises closing of 13th concertation and coordination table on health

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Oct 27, 2014 (SPS) - Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, on Sunday evening supervised the closing ceremony of the 13th edition of the concertation and coordination roundtable on health sector, jointly organized by the Saharawi Health Ministry and some international donor organizations.


Held under the motto “for the right to health of the Saharawi people”, the meeting brought together the representatives of the donor countries and international non-governmental organizations working in the Saharawi refugee camps.


In his address, Prime Minister hailed the important efforts being made by the international organizations to alleviate the difficulties and obstacles faced in the health sector.


The two-day meeting aims to make stronger coordination between various international participating organizations and the Saharawi Ministry of Public Health to assess health status inside the refugee camps.


The meeting was attended by several international donor organizations, including of which the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), Spanish Red Cross, World Food Programme (WFP), UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Solidarités International, Médicos del Mundo and Triangle.
