Sarajevo, September 14, 2014 (SPS)- The mayor of Sarajevo, Ibrahim Hadzibajric, expressed Thursday “strong” support and solidarity with the Saharawi people for self-determination and independence, during a reception the Town Hall to the Representative of the Polisario Front, Malainin Bagada Mohamed.
The Sarajevo Mayor expressed also the readiness to start bilateral relations with Sahrawi municipalities, according to a statement of the POLISARIO Front representation in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia.
The meeting was an occasion for the Saharawi Representative to address the different aspects of the struggle of the Saharawi people, plight of the Sahrawi refugee population, violations of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, illegal exploitation of natural resource and peace process sponsored by the United Nations.
It should mentioned that the Saharawi representative during his visit to Sarajevo held several meetings with officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as political personalities and made interviews with the national press.SPS
