President of Republic offers condolences on Eduardo Campos death

Birlehlou, August 14,2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic  Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mohamed Abdelaziz, addressed Wednesday a letter of condolence to Prime vice President of the Brazilian Socialist Party Roberto Amaral on the occasion of the tragic death of the president of the party, governor of Pernambuco, and presidential candidate Eduardo Campos.

 

The President of the Republic said that "the Frente POLISARIO shares with Brazil sadness and pain over the tragic death of the President of the Brazilian Socialist Party, presidential candidate and one of the most important figures of the Brazilian left."

  

President Mohamed Abdelaziz recalled in his letter that the grandson of Miguel Arraes had dedicated his life to fighting for the underprivileged in his country as well as the defense of the just causes.

 

 "We remember in him as well as in the Brazilian Socialist Party the permanent support and solidarity with the Polisario Front and the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people for self-determination and independence," said the leader of the Frente POLISARIO.

 

Finally, the President of the Republic said that "at this time of deep sorrow, we extend our condolences to the family, friends and fellows of Eduardo Campos".

 

Eduardo Campos died Wednesday morning, along with other six collaborators, following the tragic crash of a plane carrying him from Rio de Janeiro. He was 49 years old. (SPS)
