Moroccan forces expel foreign observers from Boujdour occupied city

Submitted on

Boujdour (Occupied Territories), August 7, 2014 (SPS) - Moroccan occupation authorities expelled two observers from the Basque region of Spain who on a visit in Boujdour occupied city to find out the reality of human rights in the occupied cities of Western Sahara and reports on them, according to the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.

The expulsion of the observers was carried out as soon as they arrived in the southern checkpoint of El Aaiun occupied city, where they were exposed to a thorough inspection and their information was taken down to be then deported towards the Moroccan city of Agadir, the same as what happened hours earlier to other observers who were on a visit in Smara occupied city.

The two observers had organized several meetings with the Sahrawi Association for the Defense of Human Rights and Protection of Natural Resources, the Media Committee and many victims of violations of the Moroccan state. They found out the suffering of the Sahrawis in the occupied cities of the Western Sahara and what they are exposed to on a daily basis of repression and oppression pursued by the Moroccan occupation authorities, as well as the dangerous plunder of their natural resources without benefiting from them, under the siege and a media blackout in the region to prevent the exposure of crimes of the Moroccan state.
