SADR takes part in workshop on how to create and manage regional internet exchange points

Nouakchott, June 11, 2014 (SPS) - A Saharawi delegation took part in Nouakchott workshop - North Africa on the mechanisms and means of creation and management of regional internet exchange points, organized by the African Union in favor of states of North Africa.

 

The launching ceremony of the workshop was supervised Sunday by the Mauritanian minister of employment, vocational training and information technologies and communication, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ould Boddé Sidiya, and was attended by numerous experts from Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania and the Sahrawi Republic as well as specialists and experts of the African Union.

 

The workshop aims to link communication networks in different parts of the world, promoting rapid data access and reducing costs of navigation.

 

The Saharawi delegation is composed of Lehraitani Lehsen, Mohamed Salem Lebaid, and Hamdi El Hafed, respectively adviser to the presidency, director of the Sahrawi TV, and editor of 20 May Magazine. (SPS)
