Submitted on

Dakhla (Occupied Territories), June 10, 2014 (SPS) - A group of Saharawi citizens working in the fisheries sector has been assaulted Saturday to Sunday night in the occupied city of Dakhla by Moroccan settlers, reported the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community abroad.

According to the same source, several Sahrawi citizens were injured and two vehicles vandalized before the elements of the Moroccan gendarmerie that did not intervene.

Dakhla, like other occupied Saharawi cities, is home to many Moroccan settlers considered by Morocco as soldiers "in reserve", recruited to repress Sahrawi Intifada. (SPS)
