SADR in favuor of strengthening relations with El Salvador

San Salvador, June 1, 2014 (SPS) - The Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) has expressed its willingness to maintain stronger relations with the Republic of El Salvador, during the visit of President Mohamed Abdelaziz who met Saturday with the El Salvador Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Siegfried Reyes.   

 

"We expect to further relations between the two countries in other areas of mutual interest, especially that El Salvador is a bridge between the African Union and the Arab world "said the Ambassador of SADR to Nicaragua, Salama Tayeb Hannan.

 

"We are ready to develop ties with El Salvador in the fields of trade and investment," he added.

 

The visit of the President of Republic Secretary General of the Polisario Front to El Salvador "comes within the framework of strengthening the bonds of solidarity that have always existed between the two peoples. We wish success and prosperity in El Salvador and express our full support for President Salvador Sanchez Ceren in office for the next five years "said the Saharawi diplomat.

 

El Salvador maintains diplomatic relations with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic since 1989, it should be recalled.

 

President of the Republic arrived Friday in San Salvador, El Salvador, at an official invitation from the current President of El Salvador, Mr. Mauricio Funes, to attend the investiture ceremony of the new president-elect, Mr. Salvador Sanchez Ceren, along with dozens of world heads of State and Government and delegations.

 

The President of the Republic is accompanied by a delegation comprising Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Salek, Minister of Vocational Training, individuals and publicfunction Khira Bellahi, Adviser to the Presidency Abdati Brieka, and Saharawi Ambassador to El Salvador Salama Mohammed Hennan.
