South Africa Ambassador reiterates his country’s support to right of Saharawi people

Algiers May 22, 2014 (SPS) - Ambassador of South Africa to Algeria Mr. Joseph Kotane renewed his country's support of the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence, during a meeting Thursday with Sahrawi Ambassador Mr. Brahim Ghali at the headquarters of the Sahrawi embassy in Algiers.

 

The South African diplomat who was accompanied by the officer in charge of affairs at the embassy and cultural attache also expressed his desire to further development relations of cooperation in various fields between South Africa and Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.   

 

The meeting discussed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and was an opportunity for programming many future activities in various fields, where the ambassador of South Africa announced numerous cultural and sports activities which will take place in Algiers on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of freedom and democracy in South Africa, in which Algeria and Western Sahara will take part besides South Africa.
