“A Flower Instead of Every Mine,” campaign on mine dangers in Western Sahara

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), May 14, 2014 (SPS) - Artists and activists of many countries in America, Europe and even Morocco have joined an awareness campaign about dangers of mines and against the separation military wall set up by the Moroccan occupation forces in Western Sahara.


The coordinator of the artistic project “A Flower Instead of Every Mine,” Moulud Yeslam, underlined that the idea consists of collecting millions of flowers instead of every mines.


“More than 14 Catalonian towns (Spain) adhered to the project as well as organizations from the Basque region, Madrid and Andalusia, in addition to a number of Moroccan activists from the February-20 Movement, with a plan to put down flowers on the other side of the wall,” he added. (SPS)
