Dakhla (Refugee Camps), May 4, 2014 (SPS) - "Legna" film (Sahrawi poetry) Juan Ignacio Robles, Bahia Awah, and Juan Carlos Gimeno has been awarded the "White Camel" prize as the best film of the 11 edition of the International Film Festival in Western Sahara (FiSahara).
The second award went to "Invictus" by American Clint Eastwood on Nelson Mandela’ s struggle against the apartheid in South Africa.
"Dirty Wars" by American David Riker won the third award of the festival.
Furthermore, the results of the national competition of short films was announced and the first prize was won by "Arifa" (prefect) film by a Sahrawi filmmaker group in Abideen Kaid cinematic school. The second prize went to "Tears of Hope" by Sahrawi Director Halima Ahmed Mohamed."My Malady is in my Cure" by Zehra saleh won the third prize. (SPS)
