New York, April 10, 2014 (SPS) - Polisario Front has categorically refuted the statements attributed to its Representative in the UN promoted by certain Arab media oulets that it opposed a French proposal submitted to the UN Security Council, ahead of the deliberations scheduled for current April 17th.
In a statement to SPS, Polisario Front’s Representative to the UN Mr. Boukhari Ahmed described as “unfounded” such statements attributed to him by certain Arab media outlets, including the Arab Gulf TV, about Polisario Front’s rejection of a French proposal submitted to the Security Council.
He also denied what these Arab media outlets spread of an alleged American draft resolution on Western Sahara.
“As far as I know, there is absolutely no French proposal nor American draft resolution on Western Sahara,” said Mr. Boukhari Ahmed, noting that the report of the UN Secretary General on Western Sahara has not been published so far. (SPS)
