Solidarity caravan for Sahrawi refugees

Algiers, April 1, 2014 (SPS) - A solidarity caravan for Sahrawi people organized by the association Al Irshad Wal Islah arrived Monday in the Sahrawi refugee camps carrying food aid and school stationery for more than 200 Saharawi families.
 

In a statement to APS, Mohamed Bitat, in charge of social affairs at the association, underlined that the solidarity caravan is also carrying blankets and clothes.
 

A medical team composed of 7 specialist doctors are part of the caravan and will provide necessary healthcare to the sick in the refugee camps, he added.
 

The caravan started from the Algerian province of Bechar (965-km southwest of Algiers), he said. (SPS)
