Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), March 14, 2014 (SPS) - Saharawi Journalists and Writers’ Union (UPES) has deplored the fierce campaign of harassment and annoyance by the Moroccan ambassador in Lima against the Peruvian journalist Ricardo Sanchez Serra, as a result of his active media action in favour of Saharawi people’s right to self-determination.
In a statement issued on Thursday ,UPES expressed full support and solidarity with Peruvian journalist Ricardo Sanchez, appreciating his deep-rooted beliefs and principles of support to the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination.
UPES called on all regional and international press organizations to stand with the Peruvian journalist and to protect the freedom of the press and expression. (SPS)
