President of Republic concludes one-day visit to Nigeria

Abuja, Feb 27, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz concluded Thursday’s morning a one-day visit to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, after he took part at an international summit on human security, convened in Abuja in parallel with Nigeria’s centenary celebrations.


The President Mohamed Abdelaziz visited Nigeria at an official invitation by H.E. Mr. Goodluck Jonathan, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


In a speech delivered Thursday at the summit, President of the Republic underscored the need to complete the liberation of Africa, through putting an end to Morocco’s occupation of parts of the Saharawi Republic (SADR).


Nigeria, in the person of foreign affairs’ secretary, expressed deep gratitude for SADR president’s participation at the summit and the celebrations marking Nigeria’s unification.


The President Mohamed Abdelaziz was accompanied in his visit to Nigeria by a delegation composed of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, minister of foreign affairs, Mr. Abbi Bachraya Bachir, ambassador in Nigeria, and Mr. Abdati Breika, advisor to the Presidency of the Republic, and Lehbib Ali Salem, first secretary at the embassy in Abuja.


To recall, this summit coincides with the 38th anniversary of the declaration of the Saharawi Republic, proclaimed on 27th February 1976. (SPS)
