Reykjavík, Feb 27, 2014 (SPS) - Icelandic Parliament’s foreign affairs committee has urged the Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson to actively promote a policy that that support Saharawi people’s right to self-determination at the international level, according to the Icelandic Review.
In a new version of its report, the Icelandic parliament’s foreign affairs committee recommended that the resolution supporting the self-determination of Western Sahara inhabitants be accepted, stated the same source.
The report recalled to the previous position taken by Iceland regarding the self-determination of the population of Western Sahara.
