Algiers, December 9, 2013 (SPS) - The U.S. ambassador in Algiers, Mr. Henry S. Ensher, confirmed Sunday in Algiers that the position of the United States on the question of Western Sahara has not changed, adding that his country has always supported the United Nations efforts in order to resolve this issue.
The American diplomat highlighted during a press conference held at the headquarters of the U.S. Embassy in Algiers that "human rights is an important aspect in the foreign policy of the United States so we hold talks with the United Nations and other partners on the issue of human rights in Western Sahara."
