Conclusion of Saharawi culture days in Asturias

Mieres (Asturias), November 30, 2013 (SPS) – ‘The encounter with the Saharawi culture,’ which has been held since November 20, in Mieres (Asturias) Spain, Closed friday, according to the Department of Culture in the POLISARIO Front Representation in Spain.

 

The event inaugurated with a speech by Paz Andrès, President of the Asturian Association of Friends of the Saharawi People , Diego Fernandez, cooperation councilor of the municipality of Mieres and Yahya Edjil, the POLSARIO Front representative in Asturias.

 

During the 10 days, exhibition of Saharawi painter Salek Brahim opened to the public at culture  house ‘Teodoro Cuesta’ of Mieres.

 

 The following days there were several activities such as the projection of documentary ‘Stone houses.’

 

The closing ceremony of the cultural activities included a poetry evening by Mohamed Ali Ali Salem, in charge of culture in Spain, Ali Salem Iselmu, Sahrawi poet and writer and Spanish poet Fernando Mendez. SPS
