Saharawi experience of struggle is unique, says Algerian official

June 9th School (Saharawi refugee camps), Nov 28, 2013 (SPS) - “The Saharawi people’s experience of struggle is unique, because they were able to set up a full-institution state in exile,” stated Mr. Abdelkader Abdellaoui, vice-president of the Algerian National People’s Assembly (APN), in a speech during ceremony held today in the Saharawi refugee camps to celebrate the 38th anniversary of Saharawi Parliament.


Algerian official felicitated, on behalf of APN’s president and members, the Saharawi National Council, renewing commitment to continue cooperation and solidarity with the Saharawi legislative institution.


Mr. Abdellaoui, also head of the Algerian parliamentary present at this event, indicated that his institution will continue to strengthen the relations and exchange experiences with Saharawi Parliament.


He, on other hand, expressed his country’s firm support to the right of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence.


“Resolving the Western Sahara conflict is a responsibility of the United Nations and international community,” member of the Algerian Lower House of Parliament. (SPS)
