Algerian National People’s Assembly to takes part at 38th anniversary of Saharawi Parliament

Algiers, Nov 26, 2013 (SPS) - A delegation of the Algerian National People’s Assembly (APN), led by Abdelkader Abdellaoui , vice-president of the APN, will participate in festivities marking the 38th anniversary of the creation of the Saharawi National Council (Parliament).


The participation of an Algerian parliamentary delegation in these festivities, to be held on Thursday in the Saharawi liberated territories, is an expression of “continuous support” by the Algerian parliamentarians to the Saharawi people, who continue to fight for their right to self-determination and decolonization of Western Sahara, according to a statement issued by the institution.


APN delegation consists of Ms. Saida Bounab Ibrahim, president of the Algeria-Western Sahara parliamentary group of fraternity and friendship, in addition to six other members.


These festivities will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, across all the wilayas and institution of the Saharawi Republic (SADR) and will end next Thursday.


It should be recalled that the Saharawi National Council was created on November 28, 1975 after the dissolution of the Saharawi Assembly. (SPS)
