Important Saharawi delegation to take part at EUCOCO 38th Conference

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Nov 12, 2013 (SPS) - A high-level delegation, led by the President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, will participate at the 38th edition of the European Conference of Coordination and Support to the Saharawi People (EUCOCO), to be held in Rome, capital of Italy, from 15th to 17th November 2013.


The President is accompanied by the Ministers of Occupied Territories, Diaspora and National Rural Mr. Mohamed Al-Ouali Akeik, Public Service and Employees Ms. Khira Bulahi, Reconstruction of Liberated Territories Mr. Bulahi Siyad, Cooperation Mr. Brahim Mojtar, in addition to the secretaries general of the grass-root organizations (workers, women, students and youth).


It also includes civil society representatives, including members of the Saharawis National Council (Parliament), the Association of Families of Saharawi Prisoners and Disappeared, in addition to a Saharawi human rights delegation from the occupied Western Sahara and southern Morocco.


The 38th session of the EUCOCO will be attended by over 300 delegates representing the various institutions and organizations that advocate for the rights of the Saharawi people, human rights organizations, as well as international jurists and observers, according to the organizers.


A parliamentary seminar will be held on the sidelines of this conference to bring together all the participants, especially the elecetd to national and European councils, to discuss ways to take "tangible commitments" vis-à- vis the Western Sahara issue, the source added. (SPS)
