Smara (occupied territories), Nov 12, 2013 (SPS) - Moroccan occupation forces violently attacked a peaceful demonstration organized last Sunday in the occupied Saharawi city of Smara to demand the immediate withdrawal of Moroccan occupation from Western Sahara, reported the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Diaspora.

Saharawi demonstrators raised Saharawi Republic (SADR) flags and chanted slogans calling for the withdrawal of the Moroccan occupation from Western Sahara and for the immediate release of Saharawi political prisoners, still languishing inside Moroccan prisons, added the same source.

They also denounced the violations of human rights committed by Moroccan occupation authorities in the occupied Western Sahara party and the plundering of Saharawi natural resources.

This demonstration is coincided with Madrid Tripartite Accords, signed on 14 November 1975 between Spain, Morocco and Mauritania, by which they divided Western Sahara. (SPS)
