Inauguration of Saharawi Art School

Boujdour (refugee camps), Nov 5, 2013 (SPS) - The Saharawi Art School “the School of the Martyr Salek Moulud Sidi” inaugurated today evening in the Wilaya of Boujdour, Saharawi refugee camps.


The inauguration ceremony was overseen by the Saharawi Minister of Culture Ms. Khadija Hamdi, and attended by the participants of ARTifariti.


Speaking on this occasion, the President of the Friendship Association with the Saharawi People in Seville, Mr. Fernando, underlined that the Saharawi Art School is “a dream” achieved by the participants of ARTifariti demonstration.


He went on saying that this project is the “fruit” of continued efforts initiated in 2007, appreciating the support of all friends, especially the Algerians.


Director of the School of Fine Arts in Tipaza (Algeria), for his part, renewed Algerian people’s support and solidarity with the struggle of Saharawi people for freedom and self-determination.


This School is funded by the regional government of Andalusia, Spain. (SPS)
