Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Oct 21, 2013 (SPS) - Mr. Salek Muftah is a new director of the Sahara Press Service (SPS) succeeding its former director Mr. Lemhamid Sidi Mohamed Abbah, who was summoned for other tasks, said a statement issued Monday by the Presidency of the Republic.
“Based on the powers vested in him by the constitution, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente Polisario, appoints Mr. Salek Muftah as a new director of the Sahara Press Service, succeeding Mr. Lemhamid Sidi Mohamed Abbah, who was summoned for other tasks,” asserted the statement.
Mr. Salek Muftah served as an editor-in-chief of the Sahara Press Service, managing editor of the Saharawi National Radio, and director of the office of the information minister.
He had previously worked for Essahra el-Horra newspaper, and has some journalistic writings.
He was graduated from the University of Garyounis in Libya on journalism division in 1986. (SPS)
