President of Republic congratulates Goodluck Jonathan on Nigeria’s election to Security Council

Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), Oct 19, 2013 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has sent a letter of felicitation to H.E. Mr. Goodluck Jonathan, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the occasion of his country’s election into non-permanent seat of the United Nations Security Council.


The Saharawi President expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of the people and government of SADR, his sincere congratulations to his Nigerian counterpart, hoping that Nigeria will succeed in assuming this post, which will give an opportunity for her to advocate for the issues of African peoples and countries.


“Nigeria’s election into the non-permanent seat of the UN Security Council for the second time during the presidential term of Goodluck Jonathan is an outright expression by the international community for the deep confidence and status Nigeria enjoys, and its growing role under your wise leadership in order to strengthen justice, peace and security in Africa and the rest of the world,” said Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz.
