Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), Oct 13, 2013 (SPS) - President of the Republic Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has sent a letter of congratulation to his counterpart of Algeria Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika on the occasion of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
“On this occasion, I would like, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Saharawi people and government, to extend to Your Excellency, and through you, to the sisterly country of Algeria, government and people, my warmest congratulations and best wishes, praying to Allah the Almighty to return it with good health and success on you, and further progress and prosperity for your country and people,” writes the Saharawi President.
The President went on saying: “here comes a new Eid and the Saharawi people are victims of the injustice of relatives in the sisterly Moroccan Kingdom, and the lack of commitment by the international community to implement its resolutions in enabling the Saharawi people, like peoples of the globe, of self-determination and to live in freedom and peace.”
“On the great occasion of Eid al-Adha, with all its meanings of sacrifice and altruism, we testify to Allah of our sincere desire to accelerate bringing just and final peace in the Western Sahara, as to build bridges of brotherhood and friendship between the Sahrawi Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco and all countries of the region, in a framework of understanding, mutual respect and good neighbouring,” he added.
The Saharawi President, moreover, took this opportunity to extend, in the name of all the Saharawis, deep thanks and gratitude for the brotherly Algerian Muslim people, who is supporting their brotherly Saharawi people in front of the tribulations of the occupation, war and displacement.
