Addis Ababa, Oct 13, 2013 (SPS) - Embassy of the Saharawi Republic (SADR) in Ethiopia and African Union (AU) has launched an official website, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 38th anniversary of the National Unity, celebrated on October 12th each year, and African Union golden jubilee.

In a statement, SADR Embassy said that this website, which publishes in English, is a “humble contribution in disseminating information related to SADR and African Union, which will undoubtedly help in informing interested people, writers, journalists, academics, students, researchers, diplomats, politicians and public at large.”

“This small step is an attempt by the Saharawi Embassy to increase the public opinion’s knowledge and understanding of the Saharawi people’s long resistance for freedom and for the respect of the right to Self-determination as a founding principal of the AU and UN Charters and as a human right enshrined in all International covenants,” stated the statement.

This website focuses on SADR activities in the African Union and the matters related to the interest of Saharawi people in AU, but it will also present to readers all relevant documents, reports and stories that help inform them about SADR and its people.
