Moroccan representatives expelled from preparatory meeting for 18th World Festival of Youth and Students

Madrid, June 30, 2013 (SPS) - The delegation of two Moroccan organizations was expelled Saturday from the preparatory meeting for the 18th World Festival of Youth and Students, which took place on 27-29 June 2013 in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid.


The delegation represents the youth organization of the Istiqlal and Socialist Party.


The meeting was attended by more than 90 delegates from all continents.


The Saharawi youth delegation, attended the meeting, took this opportunity to extend thanks for leaders of the world youth organization.


The World Festival of Youth and Students is an international event, organized by the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), UN-recognized international youth organization, jointly with the International Union of Students since 1947.


The last festival was held in Pretoria, South Africa, on 13-21 December 2010, whereas the 18th edition of the festival is scheduled for December 7-13, 2013 in Quito, capital of Ecuador.


The Saharawi Youth Union (UJSARIO) is a member of the WFDY. (SPS)
