U.S. congress delegation visits the Sahrawi refugee camps

Smara (Sahrawi refugee camps) May 28, 2013 (SPS) - a delegation from the U.S. Congress will arrive tomorrow to the Sahrawi refugee camps, on a working and survey lasting for 24 hours, according to the agenda of the visit.

 

The delegation, which includes 12 members representing the U.S. Congress, will be received by The member of The National Secretariat POLISARIO and Wali of Smara Camp Mr. Adda Ibrahim Hmaiam, along with members of the local authorities. The delegation will visit some of the public facilities of the camp.

 

The local authorities of Smara Camp will organize a folk festival in honor of the delegation. The latter will also have later a meeting with some of the women leaders of the province. The delegation members will also visit a cultural exhibition in the camp of Boujdour.

 

According to the agenda of the visit, the delegation will be meeting with the Speaker of the Sahrawi National Assembly (Parliment) Mr. Khatri Adouh, as well as visiting the Association of Sahrawi detainees and disappearing Parents((Afapradesa), and the National Museum of  resistance.(SPS)
