AU Summit: President of Republic holds talks with African counterparts

Addis Ababa, May 27, 2013 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has held a range of talks with heads of state and government present at the African Union 21st Ordinary Summit, conclude this morning in the Ethiopian capital.


President Mohamed Abdelaziz met the heads of state and government of Ethiopia, Nigeria, Algeria, South Africa, Mozambique, Lesotho, Rwanda, Congo, Botswana, Chad, Zambia, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Angola, Tanzania, Uganda and Mauritius.


These meetings focused on the latest developments on Western Sahara question, especially the situation of human rights in the occupied territories and south of Morocco, and other issues related to agenda of the summit, in addition to the bilateral relations and the ways to enhance them.


The President of the Republic took part at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity and African Union, organized Saturday in Addis Ababa.


He also participated at the 21st ordinary summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union. (SPS)
