President of Republic felicitates his counterpart of Guyana on national day

Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), May 25, 2013 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the POLISARIO Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz felicitated Saturday H.E Mr. Donald R. Ramotar, President of the Republic of Guyana, on the 47th anniversary of the independence of his Country.


“On behalf of myself, my Government and the people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, I would like to extend cordial congratulations to you on the occasion of the 47th Anniversary of the Independence of your Country,” writes the Saharawi President.


SADR President praised, in his letter, the strong bonds of friendship already existed between the two countries, as well as Guyana’s positions of support to the Saharawi cause.


“I am delighted to see that for the past years the Republic of Guyana has become one of the closest friends of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and that the strong bonds of mutual understanding and support linking our two countries continue growing,” he underlined.


“I hope that the relations between our two nations based on friendship and understanding will grow even stronger in the years ahead,” he added.


President Mohamed Abdelaziz wished every success to Ramotar and long years of prosperity and well-being to the people of Guyana.


The Republic of Guyana is located in the Caribbean.


It recognized the Saharawi Republic on September 1st, 1979. (SPS)
