President of Republic oversees inauguration of Pablo Neruda’s World Expo

Boujdour (refugee camps), May 11, 2013 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz oversaw Friday evening the inauguration in the Wilaya of Boujdour, Saharawi refugee camps, of the world exhibition “Pablo Neruda”, on the sidelines of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of POLISARIO creation and the outbreak of armed struggle in Western Sahara.


Speaking during the inauguration, Minister of Culture Ms. Khadija Hamdi presented a summary about the poet and politician Pablo Neruda, welcoming his exhibition, third leg after Algeria and France.


Tito Gonzales, Supervisor of the Exhibition, expressed his delight for the arrival of Neruda’s Expo to the Sahrawi refugee camps.


It is worth mentioning that Pablo Neruda is a Chilean poet and diplomat. He was a member of the Central Committee of Chilean Communist. In 1971, Neruda won the Nobel Prize for Literature. He died on September 23rd, 1973. (SPS)
