Al-AYUN (Sahrawi refugee camp),May 10, 2013 (SPS)- The festivities marking the 40th anniversary of the creation of Polisario Front, which has been struggling against the Moroccan occupation since 1975, kicked off Friday morning in Al Ayun (Sahrawi refugee camp near Tindouf)
The two-day event has been marked this year by the presence of many delegations, representatives of organizations and political parties, and a number of figures and diplomats from several countries around the world, in addition to journalists.
According to the organizers, the "unprecedented" large participation in the festivities shows the international community's "unfailing" support to the struggle of Sahrawi people for their independence.
According to a source close to the committee in charge of preparing the festivities, military and civilian parades, as well as artistic and cultural activities are to take place Friday at Al Ayun camp.
Similar festivities will be organized on 20 May in the Sahrawi liberated territories, the source said.(SPS)
