Caracas (Venezuela), March 9, 2013 (SPS) - A Saharawi delegation, led by the Minister Delegate for Latin America and Personal Envoy of the President of the Republic Mr. Hash Ahmed attended Friday the funeral late President of Venezuela Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, according to a statement of SADR embassy in Caracas.
The ceremony took place at the Hall of Honor of the Venezuelan Military Academy, in the presence of 33 heads of state and delegations from 60 countries worldwide.
The Saharawi Minister, who represents the President Mohamed Abdelaziz, paid tribute to the memory of the Venezuelan leader and expressed condolences and solidarity of the Saharawi government and people with family of the bereaved and with the acting president of Venezuela Mr. Nicolas Maduro.
The delegation was received by Mr. Elias Jaua, Chancellor of the Venezuelan Republic, and other senior Venezuelan officials, who reiterated the commitment of Venezuela with the Saharawi cause.
On the other hand, the Saharawi delegation took this opportunity to hold talks with heads of state and representatives of many countries present at the ceremony. (SPS)
