Minister for Latin America represents President of Republic in Chávez funeral

Caracas, March 8, 2013 (SPS) - The Saharawi Minister Delegate for Latin America Mr. Hash Ahmed arrived Thursday in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, representing the President Mohamed Abdelaziz at the funeral of late President of Venezuela Hugo Chávez to be held today, according to Saharawi diplomatic sources.


Saharawi government decreed Tuesday, March 6, a national mourning throughout the country in honour of the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.


In an official statement issued yesterday, the President of Republic Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz said that the national mourning has been declared “as an expression of solidarity with the fraternal Venezuelan people at this very painful moment and in recognition of one of the greatest leaders of our world and for his positions in favour of self-determination and independence of peoples as well as his struggle for the poor and oppressed people.”


The special envoy of SADR President is accompanied by the Ambassador Mohamed Salem Daha and Counselor of the Saharawi Embassy in Caracas Mr. Haddi Laarosi Daha. (SPS)
