The military trial of the civilians of Gdeim Izik, a victory for the Saharawi cause (Mohamed Abdelaziz)

Smara (Saharawi refugee camp), February 27, 2013 (SPS) President of the Republic , Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, said Wednesday at  the Wilaya of Smara,  that the military trial of 24 Saharawi civilians of  Gdeim Izik was "another victory for the Saharawi cause."
 

In a speech at the celebrations of the 37th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), the president strongly condemned "the military trial of the heroes of Gdeim Izik, which failed to meet fundamental elements of the legality and conditions of a fair trial in the opinion of many international observers and international organizations.”
 

He said that the trial has brought "a new proof of the Moroccan occupation that excels in the methods of intimidation, collective killings, torture and kidnapping”
 

"The time has come for the international community to say enough to Morocco. This country, the origin of various threats to the region, which  violating international law by occupying Western Sahara, feeds its capacity by largest production and exportation of drugs, and encouraging organized crime and terrorism blind, "he further said.
 

Addressed the Moroccan people on the occasion of the anniversary of the proclamation of SADR, the president of Republic recalled that "true peace is based on respect for the wills of the peoples and the application of the requirements of international law.”
 

"The Saharawi people, he said, hold out his hand for building a Maghreb union with all people of the region and where the values of tolerance, good neighborliness and mutual respect reign."
 

On the other hand, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz congratulated Algeria for its role in the region and the world.
 

He finally, renewed condemnation to terrorism expressing full support to solve crises of   Republic of Mali with ensuring security and stability as well as respects its national unity and territorial. (SPS)
