Sahrawi Delegation participates in African Union experts meeting on drug

Kampala (Uganda) Feb 19, 2013(SPS) Sahrawi delegation composed of Mr. Mohamed Nafaa Mustafa Permanent Secretary of State Secretariat of Documentation and Security and Mr. Mohamed Salem Dakhni ,is participating in the Continental Experts Consultation Meeting organized by the African Union in Kampala, Uganda,  under the theme “Identify Priority Programmes and intervention for improving drug demand reduction efforts in Africa” according to the Saharawi Embassy to Uganda.
 

The three day meeting has officially been opened today February 19, 2013 at Kampala Uganda by Hon. Moses Ali the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister on behalf of the President of the Republic of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Added the source.
 

The centre of discussion is drug abuse situation in Africa, over viewing the revised African Union plan of action on drug control and crime prevention and the decision of the African Union Executive Council containing the priorities for 2013-2014.

Reports are expected from different countries on drug use challenges, populations using them and available Services report.
 

The meeting was attended by many organizations such as United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Asian Centre for Certification and Education of addiction Professionals (ACCE) and Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), US Department of States among others, and some of the ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Uganda.
