Saharawi youth in Diaspora organizes rally denouncing Moroccan Wall of Shame

Martyr Chreif’s Centre (refugee camps), Dec 30, 2012 (SPS) - A group of young Saharawis, currently study in the Diaspora, organized Thursday a march under the title: “scream against the Wall of Shame”, a distance of 50 km eastern the Wall.


“This initiative is part of the annual programme of the Union of Youth of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (UJSARIO), in preparation for the new year that will be celebrated in the liberated territories of SADR,” said the SG of UJSARIO Mr. Mousa Selma in an interview with SPS.


“The objective of this march is to motivate young Saharawis studying abroad, as to inform them of the barbarity of the wall of shame and arrange a meeting of the Saharawi youth of Diaspora in the liberated territories to assess the annual programme and inform them about the problems they face in order to find solutions,” he added.


Coordination for the young Saharawis abroad within UJSARIO will be established, according to the same source.


The march started last Thursday and will arrive Monday in the liberated territories of SADR where young Saharawis celebrate the new year with delegations from various Spanish political parties and organizations in solidarity with the Saharawi people their just struggle for the independence. (SPS)
