Tindouf (Algeria), Dec 17, 2012 (SPS) - The 4th edition of the cultural week of the Saharawi Republic (SADR) in Tindouf, Algeria, under the slogan “renewal of solidarity and a hug for the origin Saharawi culture”, has concluded its activities on Wednesday.
This annual Saharawi cultural week began on last Saturday with many cultural and political activities including lectures, screening of documentaries, concerts, exhibitions and many other cultural activities which reflected the Saharawi culture in the past and present.
The conclusion ceremony was attended by minister of the Culture, Khadija Hamdi, Governor of Wilaya of Dakhla, Salem Libsir, in addition to Governor of Wilaya of Tindouf,Shater Abdelhakim, accompanied by administrative and military authorities of Tindouf.
In her speech the Saharawi minister, Khadija Hamdi thanked the Algerian state for holding this event and many “political and cultural events that support the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination” she said appreciating unfailing position of President Bouteflika and the people and Government of Algeria in “ supporting the struggle of the Saharawi people to independence and freedom”
For his part the Governor of Tindouf Shater Abdelhakim, highlighted the activities of the Saharawi cultural week in Tindouf, expressing backing position of Algeria to the Saharawi people “until reach victory and independence”
The conclusion of the festival witnessed exchange prices between the Saharawi Ministry of Culture and the Wilaya of Tinsouf in addition to honour Saharawi poets and artists. (SPS)
