Algiers, December 15, 2012 (SPS) - The third international conference on the right of peoples to resistance: case of the Saharawi people opened its work Saturday in Algiers with the participation of 300 peoples, including 120 foreign activists and 40 people from the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
“This international conference aims to be a forum to recognize the Saharawi people’s right to resistance and the illegal occupation of its territory by Morocco,” underlined the Algerian National Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CNASPS), initiator of the event in coordination with the Saharawi Embassy in Algeria.
This conference aims to reaffirm the right of the Saharawi people to freely choose their own destiny and to recognize their right to resist the occupation of Morocco.
The event brings together Nobel Peace laureates, national and international figures, parliamentarians, lawyers and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria. (SPS)
