President of Republic concludes official visit to Mexico

Mexico City (Mexico), Dec 3, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz concluded Sunday his official visit to the United States of Mexico, after he took part at the inauguration ceremony of the new President-elect Mr. Peña Nieto, according to a source from the presidential delegation.


The President was accompanied by the Minister for Latin America Mr. Hash Ahmed Barikala, Ambassador in Mexico Mr. Ahmed Mulay Ali, the Advisor to the Presidency Mr. Abdati Breika and First Secretary of SADR Embassy in Mexico Mr. Mohamed Salem Mohamed Mbarek.


The visit came at the official invitation of Mexico to the Saharawi government to take part along with over 110 states, about 26 international organizations and the diplomatic corps at the inauguration of the newly Mexican elected president.


The presidential delegation held a series of meetings with leading figures and heads of delegations attending the event, by which they informed their interlocutors about the current situation of the Saharawi conflict, including the gross human rights violations committed by the Moroccan state against Saharawi civilians in occupied Western Sahara, and the cooperation on how to improve and develop the bilateral relations, said the source.


The Saharawi President had several meetings at his official residence with important Mexican personalities, including the Governor of the State of Coahuila Rubén Moreira. (SPS)
