SADR signs on African Risk Capacity Establishment Agreement

Pretoria (South Africa), Nov 24, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) signed Friday in Pretoria, South Africa, along with other African countries on the Establishment Agreement of the African Risk Capacity (ARC), according to a statement of SADR Embassy in Pretoria.


ARC is a specialized agency of the African Union designed to help AU Member States to resist and recover from the ravages of natural disasters.


Signing of the Agreement took place at the end of Plenipotentiary Conference, held on current Nov 19-23, which discussed and approved provisions of the Agreement.


ARC Establishment Agreement was signed by 18 countries out of 40 countries present at the Conference.


Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic was among the first countries to sign on the Agreement. (SPS)
