Personal Envoy, Christopher Ross, meets the CODESA delegation at Minurso HQs in occupied city of AlAyoune

AlAyoune (occupied territories) Nov01,2012(SPS)  the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara )  Christopher Ross, on Thursday , met delegation of the Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders( CODESA) at the Headquarters  of the Minurso in the occupied city of AlAyoune.
 

 The meeting, which lasted for two hours from 9:00 to 11:00, was attended by Christopher Ross, his two assistants, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of Mission, Wolfgang Weisbrod-Weber and a delegation of the Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders, CODESA.
 

  In addition to the human rights defender, the ex-abducted and Sahrawi lawyer, Mr. Lahbib Rguibi, the CODESA delegation was composed of: chairwoman of the Collective -Aminatou Haidar the first vice-president of the Collective Ali Salem Tamek, the Secretary General of the Collective Elarbi Massoud and counselor of the Executive Board of the Collective, Mohamed Elmoutaoikil.

 

The meeting was an opportunity to the Saharawi delegation to inform the UN delegation about the systematic violation of human rights that committee by Moroccan state against the Saharawis in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.(SPS)
