Copenhagen, (Denmark) October 31, 2012- The Minister of Public health, Mohamed Lamin Dadi has visited Denmark from October 29th to 30th, 2012, according to a source from representation of the Polisatio Front to Denmark.
The Minister has been received by North Africa and Middle East Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Members of Danish Parliament, various Organizations and made interviews with the Danish Media.
The Minister briefed his interlocutors on the hard humanitarian situation of the Saharawi refugees and their urgent need for more humanitarian aid.
He also highlighted the systematic violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan state against the Saharawis in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The Saharawi official criticized the EU-Moroccan fisheries agreement that includes the illegally occupied Western Sahara waters “because it is flagrant violation of international law.”
He also raised the urgency that UN expand the mandate of the UN peace keeping mission in Western Sahara (MINURSO) to monitor and report about the critical human rights abuses in occupied Western Sahara.
The Minister of Public Health was accompanied in his working visit by Abba Malainin, POLISARIO Representative to Denmark. (SPS)
