Submitted on

Sale (Morocco), Oct 24, 2012 (SPS) - Moroccan authorities of occupation have postponed today for an indefinite date the military trial of 24 Saharawi political political prisoners arbitrarily arrested on the ground of Gdeim Izik camp in 2010.

The source indicated that the Moroccan state provided no legal justification and has offered no opportunity to Saharawi political dprisoners to appear before a court to deny the alleged accusations against them.

various associations have condemned this approach by the occupation authorities since prisoners are civilians and therefore this procedure violates all court rules.

In a recent interview with Efe, the Deputy Middle East and North Africa Director at Human Rights Watch, Eric Goldstein, considered an "abuse" that the process has not been yet concluded. (SPS)
