New York, Sept 29, 2012 (SPS) - The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, has held a high number of meetings with heads of states and delegations attending the 67th session of the UN General Assembly, informed a statement issued Saturday by the Saharawi Foreign Ministry.
The Minister met with the President of South Africa Mr. Jacob Zuma, Prime Ministers of Ethiopia and the Kingdom of Lesotho respectively Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn and Mr. Thomas Thabane, in addition to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Mauritania, Mozambique, Uruguay, Spain, Tanzania, Namibia, Cuba and Venezuela.
These meetings focused on the bilateral relations and developments of the national cause in the international sphere, particularly in the UN, underlined the statement.
A Saharawi delegation led by the Foreign Minister Ould Salek is participating at work of the seventy-sixth ordinary session of the UN General Assembly.
The same delegation will therefore take part at the session of UN Special Committee on Decolonization scheduled for next October 8. (SPS)
