Tindouf authorities deliver humanitarian aids for Saharawi refugees

Tindouf (Algeria), Sept 17, 2012 (SPS) - Local authorities of Algerian city of Tindouf delivered Monday, at headquarters of the Wilaya, humanitarian assistance for benefit of the Saharawi refugees to a delegation of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic led by the Minister of Education Ms. Mariam Salek Hmada.


The move comes in the framework of solidarity initiatives with the Sahara people.
These humanitarian aids are 9 trucks carrying school equipments and supplies to the various educational stages, in addition to diverse food elements.


“This good move, which comes in the framework of supporting and alleviating suffering of the Saharawi people which has lasted for 3 decades, is another form of solidarity and sympathy by the people of Algeria with their brotherly Saharawi people,” said Ms. Mariam Hmada, during the delivering ceremony.


Authorities of Tindouf provided around 700 basket containing diverse quantities of basic food, 1012 school-bags, 500 blankets, as well as significant quantities of mineral water and juices.


Moreover, the aids also contain school equipments that include 100 tables, 180 chairs, 7 wooden lockers and 10 cupboards.


The aids also include 10.000 title for books and magazines for Saharawi writers. (SPS)
