Chahid El Hafed (refugee camps), Sept 1, 2012 (SPS) - The Council of Ministers has decided to create a new wilaya (province) bear the name of Boujdour, replacing the existing one February 27th School, according to a statement concluded a meeting Tuesday chaired by the President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz.
“After the council listened to a presentation by the Prime and Interior Ministers about the study made by the competent authorities to settle and reconsider the administrative status of the February 27th School and also after hearing the views on the topic by the attendees, the Council decides to change the administrative status of February 27th School by creating a new wilaya bears the name of Boujdour with keeping the historic name February 27th School as a municipality that will be created with the establishment of the new wilaya,” stated the statement.
The Council decided in this regard to form a committee headed by the Minister of Interior to follow and complete the constituents of the new wilaya.
On other hand, the Council listened to several presentations by the Ministers of Education, Vocational Training, Individuals and Public Employees, Defense, Social Welfare and Promotion of Woman, Development and Health.
The Council therefore hailed steadfastness of the Saharawi people in all the places of struggle, calling them for the recruitment to meet the challenges of the phase, succeeding the 2012-2013 social entry as to show sympathy with the peaceful resistance in the Saharawi occupied territories and in southern Morocco, possessing the spirit of resistance, maintaining the achievements, adhering to the sacred national objectives and the constant readiness to meet all challenges.
