Algiers,august2,2012(SPS) - The chairman of the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CNASPS), Mahrez Lamari, said Spain’s decision to repatriate its aid workers from the Saharawi refugee camps was "a maneuver driven by undisclosed designs.
Speaking at Al-Wassat daily newspaper’s forum, Lamari said Spanish government’s decision was a "maneuver against Saharawi people, to back up Moroccan occupation and continue the plunder of natural resources (of Western Sahara), and undisclosed intention to serve French-Moroccan lobby’s agenda."
Representatives of Spanish civil society will pay a visit to Saharawi refugee camps next week in response to their government’s "unjustified" decision, he stressed.
Lamari said he would work with the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights to "shed light on the inhumane practices and violations" perpetrated against the Saharawi people.
The chairman of the CNASPS underlined "the intransigence of Morocco, which refuses respect the international law and UN charters relating to Saharawi people’s right to self-determination and an independent state."(SPS)
