President of Republic urges Ban ki-moon to intervene to protect Saharawi citizens in occupied territories

Bir Lahlu (liberated territories) July20,2012(SPS) president of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mohamed Abdelaziz, on Thursday urged the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon for urgent intervention to protect Saharawi citizens from oppression of the  Moroccan occupation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara. As learned in a message sent to Ki-moon
 

The message comes after two brutal aggressions by Moroccan security forces against two peaceful demonstrations organized in13 and 16July by Saharawi citizens in the occupied city of El Aayoune left many casualties among the Saharawi defenseless
             

“The realities that have been reported by international specialized organizations including report of UNHCHR and what written in your reports to the United Nations Security Council confirm without doubt that Moroccan government practices flagrant violations of human rights,” said president in his letter to UN’s  secretary General.
 

President of the Republic condemned all kind of violations of human rights committed by Moroccan Security forces against the Saharawis in the occupied territories demanding their rights to assembly, peaceful expression and communicate with international observers.
 

He denounced Moroccan policy of intransigence and putting obstacles in front of efforts of international community in particular process of negotiations that aim to decolonization of Western Sahara, stressing on the need to put an end to this policy.
 

President Mohamed Abdelaziz, asked international community for exerting pressure and impose sanctions on Morocco to comply with international legitimacy, stop looting natural resources of Western Sahara, dismantle its military wall, release all Saharawi political prisoners and gives information about more than651 missing Saharawis.
